Parties are where you can meet new people, including girls. If you're a single guy, going to a party should give you a chance to hook up with some of the hottest girls in town. But the first thing you need to do is attract them before you can hook up with them. Here are 10 ways on how you can do so:

1. Put on your best suit. You should know the theme of the party, so that you can wear the appropriate suit. If you are not the fashionable guy, you can check out the latest trends on the internet. Make sure you are comfortable with what you wear. Dab on some cologne. You also need to look and smell fresh. This is the first step.

2. Be there on time. If you arrive late, chances are girls have been drawn into groups, and you will appear to be an intruder. Be there before the crowd thickens. Build rapport with people. Greet several of them and praise their outfit or looks. This is the way to appear as an outgoing guy. Many will recognize you as the party builds up.

3. Do small talks. Chances are you will feel awkward with girls out there. So before you display some anxiety, save yourself the awkwardness by engaging in small talks with girls and with everyone else.

4. Be well-mannered and act like a nice guy. You have to be careful with your words. Most girls are sensitive, so you wouldn't want to get on their bad side.

If you're with a circle of people, it's inelegant to break away from the group just to meet the girl. Glance at her a few times until she glances back. When she does, smile briefly, and then look away. The next time you glance at her, you might catch her gazing back.

8. Don't be a heavy drinker. Alcohol can make you a cool guy, but too much of it will intoxicate you before the party ends. All your hard effort to entice girls will be useless if you end up wetting your pants or throwing up. As the cliché goes, drink moderately.

9. Know when to call it a night. Don't be frustrated if it turns out to be one of those dreary nights. You won't always be successful at attracting girls. If nothing seems to happen and it's the last few minutes of the party, you probably should stop trying. You can always try next time. Don't act desperate, though!
